Supermassive Black Hole: A Huge Hole Created by Cosmic Collisions

Supermassive black hole clouds are believed by scientists as the cosmic remains from violent and high-speed collisions between planets and asteroids.

The supermassive black hole clouds are mysterious donut-shaped clouds of dust found near some gigantic black holes and an internatioanal team of astronomers studied a host of upermassive black holes, which reside in the central parts of most galaxies.

�Too bad for life on these planets, but on the other hand the dust created in this way blocks much of the harmful radiation from reaching the rest of the host galaxy,� study author Sergei Nayakshin of England�s University of Leicester said in a statement. �This in turn may make it easier for life to prosper elsewhere in the rest of the central region of the galaxy.�

According to Space.com, the collisions mix with intense radiation, making the planets orbiting these supermassive black holes sterile before they are destroyed.
