Georgina Wilson, as announced by Yahoo! Southeast Asia Corporate Communications Manager Madhavi Tumkur, was the most-search local celebrity early this month among internet-using Filipinos. Thanks to the internationally recognized local clothing brand Bench who sent the model-VJ as the brand's ambassador to the top American fashion reality show "America's Next Top Model" where she appeared as guest wardrobe stylist.
According to data released by Yahoo! Philippines, Georgina was the top trending search in the country from November 7 to 13 - the same period where she is expected to appear in the hit TV fashion reality show. The episode was aired in the Philippines last November 14.
A day after Wilson's announcement, the model and VJ became one of the top trending local topics on microblogging site Twitter.
Other top Yahoo! searches in the Philippines from November 7 to 13 include Puerto Princesa Underground River, Anne Curtis, 11.11.11, Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez boxing fight.
