Hollywood Exes Premiere on VH1: What You Should Know About Famous Celebrities Past Wives

The controversial new VH1 series Hollywood Exes has officially premiered starring Andrea Kelly (R. Kelly’s ex-wife), Nicole Murphy (Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife), Sheree Flether (Will Smith’s ex-wife), Jessica Canseco (Jose Canseco’s ex-wife), and Mayte Garcia (Prince’s ex-wife).

Andrea Kelly was married to R. Kelly for 10 years and had 3 children. She was his principal dancer and choreographer, and their business relationship grew into something personal. It was not widely known to the public that R. Kelly was married; in addition, R. Kelly was accused of having sex with underage women during their relationship. These factors certainly couldn’t have been helpful for their marriage. Andrea has not been friendly with R. Kelly since the divorce. Andrea is moving from Chicago to Los Angeles for her career.

Nicole Murphy is a goddess with crystal blue eyes who has somehow given birth to 5 children. She and Eddie Murphy are good friends after the divorce. Nicole is close friends with Sheree Fletcher. Sheree married Will Smith, and they had a son named Trey. Will Smith and Eddie Murphy knew each other, so Nicole and Sheree have been friendly for years.

Mayte Garcia, who has been divorced from Prince since the 90s. She and Prince don’t speak, and she admits missing performing with him. She lives with her “funny, hot-tempered” Puerto Rican mother and a menagerie of pets. Mayte is ready to date and have children and is finding no luck, so she meets with a matchmaker.

Jessica Canseco was married to Jose Canseco, and they have a 15-year-old daughter. Mayte knows Jessica from a mutual friend and describes her as “nuts…in a good way.” Jessica is a beautiful blonde who is the life of the party. Jessica and Mayte giggle about guitar players and baseball players who have tried dating them since their respective divorces.

So Jessica and Nicole have a girls’ day out at the vaginal rejuvenation spa. According to Jessica, vaginal rejuvenation is great because it makes everything tight, the same color, and plump. Oh, and you’ll be happy to know Jessica washed her vagina before her rejuvenation. Now that Jessica has the perfect vagina, she is ready for the perfect guy!

Jessica and Jose are still friends, so they meet for lunch. Jose and Jessica are both single now, so Jose suggests it might be a good idea for their daughter if they moved in together again—and lived as 2 single people doing their thing but raising their daughter together. Now maybe I’ve been watching too much of the men on The Real Housewives of New Jersey pretending to want therapy, but this request of Jose’s seemed so contrived and just like a play for camera time. Anyone else smell some scripted intervention?

Nicole invites Andrea to dinner to meet the ladies. Andrea is excited because these women are “grade A, class act, I don’t have to bring no switchblade.” The women talk a little about their ex-husbands and life after divorce. Andrea says R. Kelly had no reaction after she told him she was moving away, and she says the silence between them has been the hardest part. The women tell her, in time, she will forgive and forget. “Can you be tipsy while you do that?” Andrea asks. Jessica says Jose cheated all the time, and that’s why they broke up. Sheree lost herself while she was married to someone as high-profile as Will. The ladies were all in their teens or early 20s when they met their husbands. Andrea feels like all the women get her, and she is so ready to be supported by these bad mamma-jammas during this transitional time in her life.
