Cosplayers Grace Various ABS-CBN Shows to Promote the Hero Face Off 2012

The Ultimate Champs of the 1st and 2nd “Hero Face-Off” donned their colorful costumes in ABS-CBN shows to promote the biggest and grandest upcoming cosplay event in the Philippines – the Hero Face Off 2012.

Hero Face Off 2010 Ultimate Champs Mary Grace Roldan and Stephanie Sumbe shared some laughs with teen housemates Yves and Tom and the box office comedian-host Vice Ganda at the trending comedy show, “Gandang Gabi, Vice!” last Sunday.

Meanwhile, Hero Face Off 2011 Ultimate Champ Dyerik Torres participated in the “Arte Mo” segment of “It’s Showtime”. Along with Dyerik, 30 cosplayers sent by Hero TV in partnership with Anime Alliance Philippines, played in the same segment.

Thousands of anime fans are expected to gather at SM Megatrade Hall 1 on July 7, 2012 (Saturday) for the third installment of the most awaited event. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and the program begins at 2:00 p.m. Admission to the event and registration to the Cosplay competition is free.

Aside from the cosplay event, a special free screening of two big anime titles will also take place – Gintama the Movie and Yu-Gi-Oh 3D Bonds beyond Time – with free popcorn and movie snacks.

Different categories are open to all aspiring cosplayers. The “Kids Squad” category is for kids aged 12 years old and below while the “League of Heroes” is for a group of cosplayers aged 13 to 30 years old. The “Face Off” category, considered as the ultimate category of the event, is for individual cosplayers aged 13 to 30 years old.

The Hero Face Off 2012 is expected to be a blast like the 1st installment which happened last 2010 where the ultimate champs received P30,000.00 and were sent to the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC). The winner this year will have a privilege to be a part of STGCC along with the 2011 Face Off Ultimate Champ.
