Dolphy is Dead
Breaking news: Comedy King Dolphy is dead. He was 83.
Dolphy (Rodolfo Vera Quizon Sr. in real life) was pronounced dead at 8:34 p.m. today, July 10, at Makati Medical Center where he was confined due to due to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Read related news HERE) .
In his autobiography "Dolphy: Hindi Ko Ito Narating Ng Mag-Isa," Dolphy said he has always been ready to face his Maker.
"The inevitable will come. Kung dumating na ang oras mo, hindi ka na kokontra, wala ka nang magagawa. It's your time. Sabi nga nila, alam mo, 'pag malapit na. You feel it," he was quoted saying.
The King of Comedy also revealed that he already bought his own coffin.
"Matagal na itong chismis; I will confirm it. Mayro'n na nga akong kabaong bronze. No'n ko pa kinuha. Isa din ako sa kauna-unahang bumili ng family estate plan sa Loyola Memorial Park sa Marikina," he said.
