Virginia quake with a 5.8 magnitude was felt in the areas of Washington D.C., Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York City on Tuesday, August 23, 2011.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the epicenter of the earthquake is near Louisa, Virginia and was half mile deep.
Several minor injuries were already reported in the Washington area.
