And to remember the 8 Hong Kong nationals who were shot dead during the tragedy a Buddhist ceremony was held at the same location where the incident happened.
Radio dzMM reporter Noel Alamar said a Buddhist monk officiated the ceremony for the victims.
Relatives of the 8 Hong Kong nationals killed in the August 23 incident attendied the ceremony at the Quirino Grandstand.
The families were joined by Filipino anti-crime groups like Teresita Ang See�s Citizens Action against Crime and Dante Jimenez�s Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption.
Also present at the event were Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim and tourist police officials led by Superintendent Roberto Rongavilla.
