Vic Sotto and Sen. Bong Revilla tied as 2010 Box-Office Kings of Philippine Movies while Ai-Ai delas Alas was awarded the 2010 Box-Office Queen of Philippine Movies as announced by Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc. committee.
Vic and Bong starred for the first time in MMFF 2010 entry "Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote" which became last year's highest grossing film topbilled by a male actors raking a total of P159 million during its 2-week MMFF run. While Ai-Ai delas Alas' "Ang Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat - Last Na 'To" - also an entry to last year's festival, became the highest grossing film featuring a female star in the lead cast. This Star Cinema produced movie grossed a total of P157 million in its 2-week MMFF duration.
The 42nd Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Awards night is happening on May 8 at the RCBC Theater in Makati City.
