The Philippine Azkals failed to win the game against Mongolia Blue Wolves, 1-2, but they still advanced to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup group stage by winning the tie, 3-2, on goal aggregate during the second round of their 2-leg qualifier match that took place at the Mongolian Football Federation (MFF) Football Centre in Ulan Bator.
The Philippines took an early lead when James Younghusband hit a goal in the third minute of their match but Mongolia pulled one back in 21st minute through their skipper, Lumbengarav Donorov.
Mongolia sealed the win after Garidmagnai Bayasgalan scored again on the rebound off penalty during the 34th minute of the game.
The following will be the tentative schedule for the Azkals� Group Stage games (all games to be held in Myanmar):
� March 21 (Monday) - PHI vs. Myanmar, 3:30 p.m.
� March 23 (Wednesday) - PHI vs. Palestine, 3:30 p.m.
� March 25 (Friday) - PHI vs. Bangladesh, 6 p.m.
