‘Artista Academy’ Grand Audition at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum an Uber-Huge Success

‘Artista Academy’ Grand Audition at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum an Uber-Huge Success

Goodlooking boys and girls here.
Goodlooking boys and girls there.
Goodlooking boys and girls everywhere.

That's how I can describe the thousand of young artista hopefuls who flocked the Smart-Araneta Coliseum yesterday for the grand audition of TV5's upcoming reality-based artista search "Artista Academy".

Ms. Wilma Galvante and Direc Mac Alejandro were given a very tough job of selecting who among the 3,000 goodlooking young boys and girls, aged 16-22, from among the 13,000 attendance who showed up at the venue should be the next biggest showbiz stars of this generation.

Aimed at giving everyone a taste of what it’s like to be an artista, the event featured various booths including Makeover Booth, a Red Carpet Photo Booth (wherein pictures will instantly appear as magazine cover photos and uploaded to Artista Academy’s Twitter and Facebook pages), a VTR/Acting Booth with on-site editing where participants act out scenes from teleseryes and commercials, plus lots of freebies and an electronic raffle with special prizes.

There were also a special on-ground shows featuring Martin Escudero, Empoy, Morisette Amon, Shy Carlos, Aki Torio, Joshua Davis (a.k.a. Yoyo Tricker), Melbeline, Daniel Matsunaga, Eula Caballero and Ritz Azul.

TV5′s “Artista Academy” is offering the biggest cash prize on Philippine television history – a whopping P20 million prize package.

The Artista Academy will also grant contestants full scholarships to the Asian Academy of Television Arts (AATA) where they will undergo the most intensive training with the best professionals in the industry.
