Tropical Storm Falcon June 24, 11a.m. PAGASA Weather Forecast


At 5:00 p.m. today, Tropical Storm "FALCON" (MEARI) continues to move in a North Northwest direction at 19 kph.

Tropical Depression "Falcon" is estimated based on satellite and surface data at 330 km East of Basco, Batanes (20.6�N, 125.4�E) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) advises all residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signal # 1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.

TS "FALCON" is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon and will bring rains over Luzon and Visayas.

Gale Warning is issued over the eastern seaboard of the country and the western seaboard of Luzon and of Visayas.
