The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards became a rematch between Taylor Swift and Kanye West.
One year after Kanye earned a widespread criticisms when he ambushed the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to grab a statuette from Taylor's hands, the twosome once again found themselves in uncomfortably close encounters at this year's MTV event in Los Angeles last Sunday, September 12.
Not only that Taylor found herself in the company of the man that made her cry, she was also debuting a new song about him that she was terrified to perform.
Kanye, who apologizes to Taylor several times, even wrote a song for her about the entire stage-storming innocent and said he would perform it if she would not take it.
Taylor's song for Kanye, "Still an Innocent", was indeed very emotional.
"Lost your balance on the tight rope
It's never too late to get it back
Thirty-two and still growing up now
Who you are is not what you say."
Kanye did not get the chance to make a terrible scene this time. However, he did get to react to the classy Taylor at the end of the show when he performed a new song "Runaway".
"Lets have a toast for the douchebags
Lets have a toast for the assholes
Lets have a toast for the scumbags
Every one of them that I know
Lets have a toast for the jerkoffs
That never take work off
Baby I got a plan, run away as fast as you can."
