Brazilian Hunks Akihiro Sato, Daniel Matsunaga and Fabio Ide Heat-up the Summer Even More in "D' Survivors"

A new independent film outfit called Astral Productions has given young filmmaker Adolfo Alix Jr. a respite from the real stories he has been churning out since his directorial debut. His first foray in filmmaking was the Cinemalaya entry Donsol, followed by his acclaimed films Kadin, Tambolista, Manila, Daybreak, and Adela. Director Alix is also one of the writers of the comedy hit D' Anothers starring Vhong Navarro.

This 2010, Direk Adolf tries his hand at directing a screwball comedy where anything goes and nothing is predictable.

D' Survivors is a humorous take on the popular reality show of adventurous, young people faced with life-and-death situations that test their mettlephysical strength, human disposition and character. Interestingly, D' Survivors was shot on the very same islands where the Survivor of other franchise countries are shot: in the pristine Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur.

On their way to Babuyan Island for a pictorial, a group of models are stranded on an unknown island. Chaos reigns as they try to survive along with the other castaways.

The spoof movie boasts a breath-taking locale, a paradise island of blue waters, white sands and lush green vegetation; and a handful of beautiful people, mostly supermodels, and talented comedians, who all let their hair down, so to speak, and came up with a real-funny rib tickler.

Brazilian-Japanese heartthrobs Akihiro Sato, Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide with Pinoy hotties Rocky Salumbides, Lemuel Pelayo, Don Mendoza, Jubail Andres, Aaron Tuiza, and Kerbie Zamora star in D' Survivors with newcomer Darlene Anderson.

They are supported by seasoned comedians K Brosas, Divine Tetay, theater veteran Marife Necessito and comedienne Evelyn Vargas, who is making her showbiz comeback.
