PBB Double UP Update: Cathy Remperas Swaps with Kattlin Laas of Big Brother Finland

Straight from Big Brother Finland, sexy Estonian-born Kattlin Laas will be arriving to Manila tomorrow (Oct 31) for the Big Swap of "Pinoy Big Brother Double Up."

Despite weather forecasts about a coming storm, Big Brother is pushing through with one of the biggest twists of the season where a housemate from Finland will trade places with a local housemate, which happens to be Cathy Remperas, the Charming Babe of Bohol.

The 22 year old Finnish housemate admitted to the Finnish Big Brother that she is not fluent in English. A food processing worker, Kattlin describes herself as a positive and cheerful person. Her weakness, meanwhile, is her short temper. She hates people with oversized ego, people who lie a lot, and people-pleasers.

Will Kattlin be able to relate to the Pinoy housemates? Will she be able to adjust to the culture and language? What foreign traits and culture will she introduce to the housemates and the Filipino audience?

Find out how Cathy will do in Finland by following Big Brother’s secretary on Twitter. Just search PBBSecretary and click follow. Don’t miss Kattlin’s first days inside the PBB house this Saturday (Oct 31) after "Maalaala Mo Kaya" and Sunday (Nov 1) after "George and Cecil" on ABS-CBN. See the highlights of the past week at "PBB Weekend Primetime" at 6pm every Saturday and Sunday on Studio 23.

Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford are The Hosts of "Pilipinas Got Talent"

ABS-CBN will tour around the nation to find the Philippines' best acts that will compete in its biggest primetime talent-reality search Pilipinas Got Talent.

Actor Luis Manzano and singer Billy Crawford have been selected to host the new talent competition that will see singers, dancers, musicians, and other notable acts regardless of age and gender.

"Luis and I will serve as the contestants' big brothers here. We will get to know them and their stories, which I think is something the audience should and will really look forward to," said Billy, who admitted that he was a fan of the Got Talent search in the U.S. before coming to Manila last year to host Pinoy Dream Academy last year.

Luis and Billy will be the Philippine counterpart of Britain's Ant and Dec. They will be using their wit, humor, and charm as they guide Got Talent hopefuls throughout their journey and perform before a set of judges.

"I am really excited to host Pilipinas Got Talent and of course to work with Billy on a show for the first time. We do Kanto boys in ASAP '09, we hang out outside of showbiz, and I think our chemistry is something everyone should watch out for, we are going to spice up the show with our antics," said Luis.

Pilipinas Got Talent will feature Filipinos in different acts. The show is open to all—regardless of age; be it solo, duo, or group—who got the talent in singing, dancing, acting, or even unique skills such as doing magic, juggling, and stand-up comedy.

Filipinos like Madonna Decena and Charlie Green already proved that Filipinos are talented as they made it to the semi-finals of Got Talent's most popular format Britain's Got Talent.

"Filipinos are very talented and these talents can be at par with the rest of the world. The burden on deciding who among the hopefuls lies on the judges now. It will not be an easy task for sure," Billy said.

"And our judges' credentials are impeccable. They have an eye for talent and the contestants will surely learn and grow as they go through the different stages of the competition. They just need to give it their best and enjoy what they will be doing," added Luis.

If you think you got what it takes and if you got talent, catch the first leg of Pilipinas Got Talent auditions at the Lyceum of the Philippines in Batangas on November 6, 7, and 8. Auditions will also be held on Cebu on November 11, 12, and 13; Baguio on November 19, 20, 21; Cagayan De Oro on November 25, 26, and 27; Davao on November 30, Dec. 1 and 2; and Manila on December 5, 6, 12, and 13.

Watch Billy and Luis in ABS-CBN's nationwide reality and talent search Pilipinas Got Talent, airing soon on the Kapamilya Network.

"Darna" Continues To Fly High

The fever brought about by today's number one primetime program, Darna, continues as viewers remain glued on television every night to catch the breathtaking adventures of the classic Pinay superhero.

The original Mars Ravelo comics classic, has been soaring heights since its premiere. The viewers’ interest in Darna’s electrifying story has been translated into high TV ratings.

Based on data from AGB Nielsen Philippines, Darna posted an average household rating of 35.1% from September 1 to October 16 in Mega Manila while its competition logged an average of 26.9% for the same period.

Darna's success is not only due to its powerhouse cast led by Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, multi-awarded actor-director Eddie Garcia, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Iwa Moto and others, but also because the action-packed and emotionally-gripping scenes have appealed to viewers of all ages.

In the story, Darna has overpowered the supervillains who wrecked havoc in their town – Babaeng Impakta (Nadine Samonte), Babaeng Lawin (Ehra Madrigal) and Babaeng Tuod (Francine Prieto).

It can be recalled that Darna was about to kill the evil Impi (Mura) when the latter’s twin sister Roma a.k.a. Babaeng Impakta jumped from the church tower to end her life. Roma's body was buried but Impi’s was seized by Dr. Morgan (Ricky Davao) for experimentation.

Then, Armida a.k.a Babaeng Lawin arrived and attacked people. She wanted to get even with her brother, Father Mateo (Eddie Garcia), the town’s parish priest. During her fight with Darna, Babaeng Lawin accidentally hit herself with her own feather blades. But instead of expressing gratitude for once again saving the town, Darna was condemned by Father Mateo and his supporters for killing Babaeng Lawin. This caused the young superheroine to feel reluctant in her mission to save the world.

But when Babaeng Tuod (Francine Prieto) came in to sow terror and asked for Darna, Narda decided to save the world again. To destroy the giant driftwood, Darna set Babaeng Tuod on fire and threw her in a volcano.

Unknown to Darna, Babaeng Tuod did not die, but rather changed to her human form named Lucifera. She went to the orphanage where Narda lives. Impi, meanwhile, managed to escape the laboratory and went back to the orphanage to kill Narda.

More thrilling action and suspense await viewers in the coming episodes because more than the supervillains, Darna will be facing Kobra (Paolo Contis) and his evil children – Valentina (Iwa Moto), Serpentina (Sabrina Man) and Zandro (also played by Paolo Contis).

Darna airs weeknights after 24Oras on GMA Telebabad.

I Can Transform Ya - Music Video and Lyrics:

[Lil Wayne]
Hey Lil Mama,
I can transform ya,
i can’t dance but I can dance on ya,
Swiss on the beats, Chris move ya feet,
and baby I can transform ya him to a me,
I can change you life, make it so new,
make you never want to go back to the old you,
Ciroc and lime, give it a lil time,
and she can transform like Optimus Prime,

[Chris Brown]
Need a ride I can Range you up,
money i can change you up,
you can ride your own, no longer be the passenger,
swag low I build you up,
knees we can stand you up,
red lips, red dress, like em like a fire truck,

What you need, you can have that,
my black card they won’t decline that,
see potential in ya,
let me mould that,

I can transform ya like a transformer,
I can transform ya,
I can transform ya,
Anything ya want, i can get it for ya,
your my baby girl shoulda know I did it for ya,
I can trans, I can trans, I can transform ya,

Shoes you got it (got it)
Bags you got it (got it),
cars you got it (got it),
money still got it (got it),
I can transform ya, I can transform ya,
Anything you want I can (i can) get it for ya,

See me in the video you can have it really though,
iced out everything, like an eskimo,
wanna fly, we can go, anywhere you wanna go,
Jimmy Choos in Italy, Louie V in Tokyo,

something like Pinnochio,
if you lie down imma grow,
wanna see me do it big,
i can show you how it goes,
take you from an amateur to being professional,
(I can have you swag surfing - autotune)

What you need, you can have that,
my black card
see potential in ya,
let me mould that,

[Chorus]

[Lil Wayne]
Ok,
I can transform ya like a transformer,
i can turn you from a human to a Carter,
take you off the bench and turn ya to a starter,
then take you home and put you on a charger,
then (then) my cars transforms to a charter,
and we can fly to wherever you ever thought of,
hehe, i take you to wherever its warmer,
then i gotta rip off your dress like a warm up,
hehe, but Im just getting warmed up,
so tell your man he better get his voltron up,
i transform her to a Ducati and then I transform me to a Bugatti,
cos her form puts me in a trance,
i transform smaller and she puts me in her pants,
Swiss on the Beat, Chris move ya feet
and we can transform a good girl to a freak,

[Chorus]
[End]

i can show you how it goes,
take you from an amateur to being professional,
(I can have you swag surfing - autotune)

What you need, you can have that,
my black card
see potential in ya,
let me mould that,

[Chorus]

[Lil Wayne]
Ok,
I can transform ya like a transformer,
i can turn you from a human to a Carter,
take you off the bench and turn ya to a starter,
then take you home and put you on a charger,
then (then) my cars transforms to a charter,
and we can fly to wherever you ever thought of,
hehe, i take you to wherever its warmer,
then i gotta rip off your dress like a warm up,
hehe, but Im just getting warmed up,
so tell your man he better get his voltron up,
i transform her to a Ducati and then I transform me to a Bugatti,
cos her form puts me in a trance,
i transform smaller and she puts me in her pants,
Swiss on the Beat, Chris move ya feet
and we can transform a good girl to a freak,

[Chorus]
[End]

Is Aga Mulach Transferring to Kapuso Network?; JC de Vera Leaving GMA-7?

Latest Buzz: Aga Muhlach together with manager Ethel Ramos met with GMA-7 executives last Thursday. Rumors has it that Aga will have projects in the Kapuso network.

And to add to the rising list of "ober da bakod" stars is Kapuso young star JC de Vera, who is also rumored to be transferring on ABS-CBN because of lack of projects from his mother network.

In 2008, JC de Vera emerged as one of the most promising young actors to look forward to this 2009. He has been named as GMA Network's Drama Prince after his highly-rated and praised drama series like Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso, Pasan Ko Ang Daigdig and Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita, where he was paired with Yasmien Kurdi. He also joined the elite group of Bench endorsers.

But since the word war between JC’s manager Annabelle [Rama] and GMA executive Wilma [Galvante] started earlier this year, JC has noticeably left without a new primetime series. His last primetime series was LaLola opposite Rhian Ramos and his last afternoon soap was Ngayon at Kailanman opposite Heart Evangelista.

Because of this, rumors about his alleged transfer to the kapamilya network started to spread. But as far as JC is concerned, he wanted to remain a Kapuso. But what if his manager decides otherwise when his contract with GMA expires?

PBB Double UP Eviction and Nomination Updates: Jimson Ortega is Evicted, Princess Exits, 5 Were Nominated on 2nd Nomination Night

FIRST EVICTION NIGHT. Houseband ng Spain Jimson Ortega became the first evictee of Pinoy Big Brother Double UP.

During the First Eviction Night, Princess was the first nominee to be taken off the chopping block. The next person to breathe easy was Carol.

Melai's love interest, Jason Francisco, received the most number of votes among the four nominees while Jimson Ortega, on the other hand, was the lowest votegetter. Kath, Jim’s wife, was teary eyed after knowing that her husband was evicted.

The percentage of votes are as follows:

Jason Francisco – 46.85%
Carol Batay – 24.16%
Princess Manzon – 18.79%
Jimson Ortega – 10.20%

It was also revealed that there’s going to be another "Big Brother Swap" this year. In what country and which housemate will be selected for the Big Brother Swap? The answer will be revealed in the upcoming episodes of Pinoy Big Brother.

PRINCESS EXITS VOLUNTARILY. After Jim left the house last Saturday night, Princess Manzon followed last night by invoking "voluntary exit" from the house because of a violation.

5 ARE IN DANGER OF EVICTION NEXT WEEK. One automatic nomination and four nominees for eviction are what transpired during the Pinoy Big Brother Double UP 2nd Nomination Night.

Yhel received an automatic nomination for violating the "don’t discuss the nominations" rule. While four other housemates, selected by the majority via voting process, are also in the chopping block in danger of eviction this Saturday. They are Carol, Tibo, Delio and Marielle.

It was just last Saturday night that Carol Batay was able to breathe a sigh of relief after hearing that she was safe from eviction. She believed that many did vote for her, and she expressed her gratefulness for their support. Little did she know that she would be calling on this support yet again, as she joins the list of nominees for the second time. Her inability to control her emotions proved to be her downfall, as it came to the point that she allowed this to rule her actions. The other housemates viewed this as a sign of immaturity, something that had already caused friction within House B. Tension between her and Hermes was a concrete example of this. Carol seems to be growing up, though, as she accepted her second nomination with a smile, a total shift from last week?s tears.

Yhel Punzalan and Mariel Sorino were given automatic nominations by Kuya. Like Princess (who has opted for a Voluntary Exit after Kuya called her attention on a violation), they committed a major violation about discussing the nominations. Marielle casually told Yhel about not voting for someone, and Yhel made the mistake of repeating this information to someone else. Their housemates were informed of this and were given the chance to perform a task in exchange for the safety of one of them. Finally, House B was successful in their task, and they chose to save Marielle, leaving Yhel with the automatic nomination. This action was overturned by the housemates themselves, as their votes led to Marielle being nominated anyway. They felt that she had committed too many violations, even involving Yhel in the process. With her tough personality, they also believed she would be able to handle the stress of the nomination with ease. For their last words, both remained perky as they asked for another chance to show the world what they have to offer.

Tibo Jumalon was, surprisingly, part of the list of nominees. Aside from the fact that his housemates felt he would rather be with his family, his change of decision regarding last week’s task was what cost him points. Delio Dimaculangan was also nominated. Apparently, Princess was not the only one who felt his tough act was getting old. Quite a number of the housemates felt that he was difficult to talk to, being too self-righteous and egoistic by refusing to consider the opinions of others. Both housemates remained calm upon hearing their fate, believing that everyone had to experience it at some point. They kept their message short and sweet, both asking for support from their kababayans and sending an "I love you" to their respective families.

The polls are now open to receive your votes! Who do you think deserves another shot to stay in the house? Make your vote count by texting BB (housemate’s name) and sending it to 2331 for Globe, TM, Sun Cellular and Bayan Wireless Landline users or 231 for Smart and Talk n Text subscribers.
