WBO Panel Declares Manny Pacquiao Wins Fight with Timothy Bradley
Although they can no longer change the decision of the judges and can't force American boxer Timothy Bradley to return his WBO welterweight crown, the five judges convened by the World Boxing Organization (WBO) still announced their unanimous score in favor of World boxing champ Manny Pacquiao after reviewing their controversial fight in Las Vegas on June 9.
The five judges, commissioned by WBO President Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel, scored the fight 117-111, 117-111, 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113 in favor of Pacquiao contrary to the score of judges Duane Ford and CJ Ross scoring the fight 115-113 in favor of Bradley. Jerry Roth, meanwhile, scored the 115-113 in Pacquiao's favor.
However, WBO said they can no longer reverse the decision of the judges on fight night but can only authorize a rematch and take action in accordance with the rules of procedure.
