GMA Films' 'Moments of Love' Starring Dingdong Dantes and Iza Calzado Featured in Chicago Film Festival
GMA Film's 2006 movie "Moments of Love" was featured in a special screening at the "9th Chicago International Screenings" program last week, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Wednesday.
In a news release, the DFA said the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago partnered with GMA Pinoy TV in presenting the movie, directed by Mark Reyes.
The international film festival is being held at the Chicago Cultural Center from April 11 to September 29.
The DFA said 22 films from around the world were presented by Cinema Chicago, together with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, consular corps and cultural partners
Aside from the Philippines, the Consulates General of Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Korea, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, and Uruguay and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) participated in this year's festival.
"The 260-seat venue was almost filled up during the two-day screening. On both occasions, the movie received rounds of applause and standing ovations from the audience after the film showing," the DFA said.
